Your Happy Place Lyrics and Music by Jason Didner, Lyrics by Amy Didner Verse 1: It's so great to see you I'm glad you made it here I've got fun and creativity To fill your heart with cheer From the hills of California To the castles of Madrid Wherever you hear the sound of my voice You're free to be a kid From the ocean side to outer space I'm here to help you hop into Your happy place Verse 2: So, Tell me a little something About your favorite place to be Anywhere you can imagine In your world or fantasies Is it at the park or at the zoo Or a spot beneath the sea Or a train ride to the wonders Of the country or the city You're free to let that smile Stay a while on your face I'm here to help you skip into Your happy place Bridge: We can get there with our kindness And by learning as we go By imagining and playing Our happiness will grow From the ocean side to outer space I'm here to help you hop into I'm here to help you skip into I'm here to help you jump into Your happy place Your happy place is just a hop, a skip, a jump away Your happy place is just a hop, a skip, a jump away Your happy place is just a hop, a skip, a jump away Your happy place is just a hop, a skip, a jump away

Day at the Beach © 2014, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner; Music by Jason Didner Verse 1: We pretended all last winter That this carpet was the beach And soaring high above us We could hear the seagulls screech Now the days are getting warmer And it's not so far away When we'll celebrate the summer With cool breeze and hot sun rays Pre-chorus: Daydreams of summer fill my mind When I think about it When I think about it, I think of Chorus: Cotton candy on the boardwalk Umbrella colors on the sand The rolling power of the ocean Where the water meets the land The ferris wheel all dressed in neon The salty water in the air Three tries to knock down all the milk cans To win you a big ol' teddy bear So come along and we'll have a perfect day Day at the beach Verse 2: Bruce Springsteen tunes on the Parkway Exit numbers rolling down I feel like it's a great day We're heading for a Jersey Shore town We'll plant our chairs and blankets In this spot down by the see And we'll let this real-life postcard Place its stamp on our family Pre-chorus Chorus Come along and we'll have a perfect day I say, come along and we'll have a perfect day Day at the beach

Restless Heart © 2015, Lyrics by Amy & Jason Didner, Music by Jason Didner Chorus: I got a restless heart, a restless soul A restless mind, all out of control I'm out of the high chair, I'm under the table I'll hang upside down, I'm willing and able Oooh, Oooh, I got a restless heart Oooh, Oooh, I got a restless heart Verse 1: Every day I work so hard trying to learn my ABC's To finger paint inside the lines, but baby that ain't me My grown-ups say my amped-up ways are getting out of hand But I've got dreams to get up and go that they don't understand Chorus Verse 2: You and I got dreams to bust on out of this time-out chair Trade these tricycles for training wheels and go cruising anywhere This driveway for a highway and go rolling down that road You See, every nerve in me is really itching to explode Chorus

Jam Packed 03:09
Jam Packed (c) 2016, Lyrics and Music by Jason Didner, Lyrics by Amy Didner On the night before our family trip Dad saw all our stuff, he almost flipped After last year we swore we’d pack lighter From the looks of things we’ll be crammed even tighter Dad thinks Mom and I are in cahoots She went back in the house for our coats and boots As a matter of fact we're gonna be Chorus: Jam packed, Jam packed Jam packed, Jam packed So much in the back I can't keep track And we're jam packed - yeah! Verse 2: Choosing what to leave got really intense Every argument had a tough defense Do you really need your whole rock collection? And why every doll? Can’t you make a selection? We might have brought too much I guess Dad's knees are squashed against his chest As a matter of fact, we're totally Chorus: Jam packed, Jam packed Jam packed, Jam packed Room for ourselves is all we lack And we're jamp packed, yeah Solo Chorus: As a matter of fact, we're totally Jam packed, Jam packed Jam packed, Jam packed Room for ourselves is all we lack And we're jamp packed, yeah Our stuff is invading, we're under attack And we're jam packed, yeah

Lollipop Motel (c) 2015, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner, Music by Jason Didner Verse 1: That look on your face was priceless When we pulled into the lot It made every mile worth it From our home all the way to that spot 'Cause you fell in love with the picture Of that place with the colorful doors Every child deserves a happy place I believe this is one of yours Chorus: In a childhood full of moments This is one you'll remember well That moment when we first arrived At the Lollipop Motel Verse 2: There was doo-wop playing by the pool It was like walking on the set Of a movie from a simpler time When there were no cell phones yet When we weren’t so distracted From the living here and now We just threw ourselves at a world of play Now I’m just relearning how Chorus: In a lifetime full of moments This is one I'll remember well Years later just like yesterday At the Lollipop Motel Bridge: We always loved the seashore The boardwalk and the rides To see your smile come round our way Just fills us up inside Chorus: In a lifetime full of moments These are ones we'll remember well Years later just like yesterday At the Lollipop Motel Years later just like yesterday At the Lollipop Motel

Little Yellow Plane (c) 2014, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner, Music by Jason Didner I was on the beach on a summer day With my Mom & Dad and friends White sand as far as my eyes could see And blue waves that never end With my pail an shovel and boogie board I was really in the zone I knew I’d found my happy place And I made myself at home Pre-chorus: Then I heard a motor humming And I saw something special coming Chorus: There's a little yellow plane Carrying a banner Over the big blue sea There's a little yellow plane Carrying a banner With a note for you and me Verse 2: Laughing together, chasing waves Building castles to the sky Oh man, what a feeling on days like this If only I could fly Pre-chorus: Then I heard a motor humming And I saw something special coming Chorus Bridge: What do you see When you look at that flying sign? What would you write if you were asked To make your own design? Your own campaign On a little yellow plane Chorus (3x)

My Superpower (C) 2015, Lyrics by Amy & Jason Didner, music by Jason Didner Verse 1: I can be patient as a Jedi With the galaxy he serves And ready to go like Spider-Man With his quick and nimble nerves And I'm tough like Wonder Woman Who will only take the truth And fair like Thurgood Marshall Who judged on evidence and proof Chorus: When you need a hero It'll be my finest hour 'cause kindness is my superpower Kindness is my superpower Verse 2: I can be prepared like Batman Who always thinks ahead Or loving like Mother Theresa Making sure that all were fed I can be gentle as mighty Superman Helping cats down from the trees And persistent just like Anna Til she ended that deep freeze Chorus: When you need a hero It'll be my finest hour 'cause kindness is my superpower Kindness is my superpower Bridge: My hero's Martin Luther King With the noblest of dreams Let righteousness roll down Like a mighty stream Chorus: When you need a hero It'll be my finest hour 'cause kindness is my superpower When you need someone to stand for you I will stand just like a tower 'cause kindness is my superpower Kindness is my superpower

The Ultimate Frisbee © 2014, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner, Music by Jason Didner Verse 1: I love to play catch with this flying disc Since my daddy showed me how It's all in the wrist I practiced and practiced as hard as I could It took a thousand throws and now I'm pretty good I wanted to play with my friend down the block I sent an invitation that saved me a walk I taped a note on the top of the disc And I gave a good throw at a pace that was brisk Pre-chorus: Look at that Frisbee go all the way to its mark Jeremy got the note and met me at the park Chorus: Say, I got the ultimate Fris-bee It does phenomenal things It can fly anywhere when it glides through the air It doesn't even need wings   Verse 2: My dog's a pro at catching it in the air He gets a running jump and pulls it down with flair He brings it to me but keeps it in his mouth Teasing me as I wonder, will he drop it out? On a hot summer day I cooled off in the shade And I placed on the disc a glass of pink lemonade I tilted my wrist and flicked it kind of hard And I sent a cool drink to my mom in the yard Pre-chorus: Wow, look at that Frisbee go all the way 'round the bend With a lemony treat for my mom I'm so happy to send Chorus Bridge: I've got Frisbee dreams and schemes wired into my brain I'd like to ride on top of a Frisbee as big as a plane Chorus (2x)

Jersey Dinosaurs (C) 2015 - lyrics by Amy & Jason Didner More than eighty million years ago Before the Turnpike came to be Down off Exit 4 on that famous road In the swamps of old south Jersey Dinosaurs as big as buses That didn't have to pay tolls They could turn left wherever they wanted That's how these huge lizards rolled Chorus: Back when we had hadrosaurs The Jersey dinosaurs (Whoah!) We had hadrosaurs Our very own Jersey dinosaurs (Whoah oh oh oh oh!) Verse 2: Oh, these hadrosaurs were grazers Livin’ on grass and low lying leaves See, they had no Dino diners To get Taylor ham, egg and cheese (It's a Jersey thing!) They loved sunshine and water From Cape May to Seaside Heights Long before there was a boardwalk Tilt-a-Whirls or water slides Chorus Bridge: They raised their noisy high pitched roars While defending land and food These late, great Garden State hadrosaurs Had Jersey attitude! Chorus Outro (repeat chorus pattern 4x)

What does Santa do in the summertime When there are waves to surf in the warm sunshine? Does he kick off his tall black winter boots And put on a red and white bathing suit? Does he play skee ball in the boardwalk arcade And go with Mrs. Claus for a walk in the shade? Chorus: Summertime Santa down the shore Serving up treats in the ice cream store Riding around on his bicycle Away from the arctic icicles Summertime Santa, Summertime Santa I'm glad you're on vacation with me What does Santa do on a summer day? Does he fly with a banner behind his sleigh To remind the kids to share their beach toys Does he play volleyball with nice girls and boys? Does he hang up his big red winter coat And take time to unwind on his fishing boat Chorus The crashing waves sound wonderful When mixed with Santa’s bells And the merry sounds of laughter ‘round the carousel Chorus

Too Big to Jump on the Bed © 2014, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner; Music by Jason Didner All Rights Reserved Verse 1: "Daddy jump on the bed with me!" you say 'Cause you need to burn some energy today But if I tried the bed wouldn't hold my weight I would make a thud that reverberates And mama would be seriously dismayed Pre-chorus: Then Mama would call the doctor The doctor would call the nurse The nurse would call insurance To see if they reimburse Chorus: Say, I'm to big to jump on the bed You'll have to jump on it for us 'Cause I would fall and bump my head Like the five little monkeys before us Verse 2: So I'll hold your hands while you jump up and down I'll do all I can to protect that precious crown You can jump and play now with delight With your Daddy here you'll be all right And Mama much prefers those happy sounds Pre-chorus: So Mama won't call the doctor The doctor won't call the nurse The nurse won't call insurance To see if they reimburse Chorus Solo Bridge: I couldn't have imagined that I'd witness such a scene You're a super bouncing acrobat With a bed for a trampoline Chorus (2x)

Free to Be...You and Me Lyrics by Bruce Hart Music by Stephen J. Lawrence, (C) 1972 There's a land that I see where the children are free And I say it ain't far to this land from where we are Take my hand, come with me, where the children are free Come with me, take my hand, and we'll live In a land where the river runs free In a land through the green country In a land to a shining sea And you and me are free to be you and me I see a land bright and clear, and the time's comin' near When we'll live in this land, you and me, hand in hand Take my hand, come along, lend your voice to my song Come along, take my hand, sing a song For a land where the river runs free For a land through the green country For a land to a shining sea For a land where the horses run free And you and me are free to be you and me Every boy in this land grows to be his own man In this land, every girl grows to be her own woman Take my hand, come with me where the children are free Come with me, take my hand, and we'll run To a land where the river runs free To a land through the green country To a land to a shining sea To a land where the horses run free To a land where the children are free And you and me are free to be And you and me are free to be And you and me are free to be you and me

about

"Will you enjoy yourself? It's a shore thing," says Mr. Jeff 2000, children's music critic, about this beachy new family rock album. mrjeff2000.blogspot.com/2016/04/jungle-gym-jam-checks-in-with-lollipop.html

Jason and Amy Didner have enjoyed their summer ritual of driving to the Jersey Shore with the music of Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and more sun-drenched summer rock-n-roll playing on the car stereo for almost as long as they’ve been together. Now with the help of their band, the Jungle Gym Jam, they’ve assembled the sounds and memories they love the most into a new album, Lollipop Motel — a rollicking soundtrack for your summer beach vacation with the family.

***50% of digital download proceeds and 10% of physical CD sales proceeds will go to 5-year-old heart patient Xavier Ross through June 30, 2016 ***

The sound is often quite faithful to the E Street band, right down to the bells, saxophones, piano and organ combining to conjure up scenes of the amusement pier on the boardwalk, as on tunes like “Little Yellow Plane,” “Summertime Santa” and “Jersey Dinosaurs.” Jason is equally happy calling on a horn-infused sunny ska vibe to invite the listener to a “Day at the Beach” or dialing up a big 70s hard rock tone for his duet of “The Ultimate Frisbee” with kindie glam-rocker Ron “Polka Dot” Albanese.

The legends of 70s and 80s rock and pop are not the only musical influences that inspired Jason and Amy on this album. Having immersed themselves in the world of “kindie” music (independent music for kids and families) for the past three years, Jason and Amy were encouraged to go big on lyrical wit and respect kids’ abilities to engage with their sense of humor by the stunning powerpop songwriting triumphs of Justin Roberts, Joanie Leeds and The Not Its. You’ll hear this kind of humor come through on tracks like “Jam Packed,” an ode to the harrowing experience of packing for the family trip.

The record ends with an exclamation point with Jason’s spirited duet with golden-voiced kindie songstress Suzi Shelton on their version of “Free to Be…You and Me.” Dearborn, Michigan DJ Phil Maq (WHFR-FM) had this to say about the closing track: “A super sized arrangement! It includes many musical elements–too many to count here, but you might want to make sure that your kitchen sink is still attached! It all works, so check out the boisterously happy ‘Free to Be…You and Me!’”

The subject matter that fueled the inspiration for the album was the family tradition of staying at the Lollipop Motel in North Wildwood, NJ, an historic motel that was part of Wildwood’s “Doo-wop” motel scene since it was first opened in 1961. “Before our first-ever stay at the hotel, we were looking at pictures of hotels on the iPad and our then-three-year-old daughter giggled at the image of the neon sign depicting kids’ faces as lollipops and all the colorful doors to the rooms surrounding the pool,” Jason said. “When we actually arrived at the real place, Holly’s stunned reaction was what I would have expected upon first arrival to Disney World. It was a stunning moment that led to writing the title track, a theme I felt could carry the album.”

Jason and Amy teamed up with producer Marc "Baze" Bazerman, a kindie musician in his own right, who gave the album a great deal of presence and clarity. "Marc and I took on a 'No regrets' policy with this album. Since we know it's a permanent record of our work, we wanted to make sure that it's 100% satisfying to listen to from beginning to end, whether you're 2 years old or 42 years old," said Jason. "When I listen to this album all the way through, I feel we've achieved that."

Lollipop Motel is the Jungle Gym Jam’s second album, a follow-up to their Parents’ Choice-approved Everyone’s Invited! which peaked at #2 on the CD Baby children’s music chart and was named Editor’s Pick by the online music distributor.

Jason, Amy and band are set to travel through the mid-Atlantic states from New York to Virginia through the spring and summer in support of Lollipop Motel.
